- Approximately 28” × 36” (71cm × 92cm)
- Easily customisable - add or remove 24-stitch repeats for width, add/remove panels for length
YARN
Stylecraft Special Aran (Aran/Worsted weight #4)
- 5 balls background colour (Cream 1005)
- 2 balls snail body (Camel 1420)
- 1 ball each: Khaki, Meadow, Pistachio, Bluebell, Black
- Small amount white for eye highlights Amounts include envelope border. The pattern works with any Aran/Worsted weight yarn - use the free Substitute Yarn Estimator for other yarns (available on the Craft Pixie website)
HOOK SIZE
- 5.00mm (H-8) for blanket body
- 4.50mm (G-7) for envelope border
GAUGE
16 sts × 15 rows = 10cm (4”) in overlay mosaic stitches with 5.00mm hook
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
Requires knowledge of: basic crochet stitches (sc, dc, ch, slst), overlay mosaic crochet techniques, tapestry crochet (yarn carried behind work). No diagonal or specialty stitches needed.
