Snake crochet pattern

This measures about 11cm tall and 10cm in length, when made with double knit yarn or about 15cm tall and 12cm in length, when made with aran yarn.

When I make this Snake I use the Matador and Black shades of Stylecraft yarn, but any two that go well together would work (Brown and Camel also work well). You can make this in a single colour too, ignoring the colour changes.

Materials

For the smaller size animal:
3.5 mm hook (US E hook)
Approx 10g light double knit weight yarn
Approx 15g dark double knit weight yarn
Small amounts of red and black yarn
Stuffing

For the larger size animal:
5 mm hook (US H hook)
Approx 20g light aran weight yarn
Approx 25g dark aran weight yarn
Small amounts of red and black yarn
Stuffing
