Here in the UK, snow days are few and far between, so when they actually happen, they are pretty magical. As a teacher, getting that call to say the school is closed due to snow is exciting. A bonus day off, where all you can do is drink hot chocolate, watch films and knit is special and knowing that the children you work with will be having the best time makes it even better. So here is a pattern that replicates that magic; the first twinkling flakes which turn into glistening flurries before falling into deep drifts. These are snuggly three colour socks which can be worn on such a day, featuring tactile textures and delicate lace. This pattern uses techniques suitable for confident beginners and lovers of lace. As with all of my sock patterns it is designed to be used with your favourite heel and toe.
