The Snow Fence cowl or scarf is a double-layered, warm and cozy winter accessory, protecting you against Arctic winds and snowstorms. You can work a cowl, moebius cowl or a scarf following this pattern. All the versions are knitted in rounds in mosaic stockinette stitch, creating a long tube. Three colours of yarn were used, swapping one out after each repeat. However, the cowl or scarf can be made using just two colours. Crochet hook is used for provisional cast-on.

The sample was made in Drops Sky, a combination of 74% baby alpaca, 8% merino wool and 18% polyamide. Drops Sky is super soft, light and luxurious due to the tube-like chainette structure. Other types of yarn can be used; however, it might affect the yardage needed.

The yarns used for the sample, 141 m / 154 yards each colour:
• C1 Drops Sky, #11 Hazelnut Mix
• C2 Drops Sky, #03 Pearl Grey Mix
• C3 Drops Sky, #06 Sea Green Mix
