The Snow Gum Cowl is part of the Tasmania Collection. The motif is inspired by the bendy and twisty shapes found in the Tassie bush.

It is an excellent skill builder project: You can expand your stranded colourwork skills with the curved shapes of the motif. Or perhaps you have always wanted to learn how to knit a folded hem? In this pattern you get to sample two different methods!

Design notes
This funnel shaped cowl is knit in one piece from the bottom up and in the round.

Work begins with a ribbed and folded edge, the main body of the cowl is worked in stranded colourwork and then cowl is finished with another ribbed and folded edge on top. The top edge includes openings for I-cord ties. Finally an I-cord is worked and threaded into the top folded edge.
