Snow in the Valley mittens are worked flat from cuff to fingertips and seamed. They include a thumb gusset, contrast cuff, and intarsia star chart. The thumb is completed by knitting in the round after the rest of the mitten is seamed. Both mittens are made identically so you can switch hands if your dominant hand mitten starts to show signs of wear.
