Snow on Autumn Leaves Hat
by Kiana Minkle
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes we get snowstorms when the leaves are still falling from the trees. The crisp, white snow was such a stark contrast with the reds, oranges, and yellows of the leaves. The combination of these colors inspired this hat.
I’ve used a unique slipped stitch technique between rows to create the stained glass effect. It’s a fun technique to knit, and seems more difficult that it really is.
The textured pattern on the brim is a simple four row repeated pattern. It creates a nice edge that makes the hat stand out.
