Snow Road Throw
Organizing my stash one day I was shocked at how much wool I had… some full skeins and other bits leftover from earlier projects. I felt inspired not to waste anything and to make something I could use and love so I designed Snow Road Throw.
I found inspiration in nature, the way colour appears softly, grows stronger and fades, while another is introduced and this continues again and again. The stripes are done intuitively so there is no set number. The diamond purl texture gives it an even rhythm reminiscent of quilting.
One of the best things about this blanket is that it is colour work without having to carry yarn. The back has a lovely, cozy woven effect.
