A companion piece to the Bunny Slope Beanie, these mittens really pack a punch with their extra-chunky texture! Although the uber-warm fabric is thick, it flexes easily with your hands for all your snowball-fight needs.

Like the matching beanie, these mittens use the Maize stitch (an
unusual variation of the Half Double Crochet stitch) to create a fabric that will keep the snow and winds out but will give you more mobility than expected from such thick fabric. Because these mittens are made with super bulky yarn, they are a very quick project!

Alternatively, make these mittens as a fun stash busting project and use the wet-felting method of splicing different colors of yarn together to create a truly unique colorway without the need to weave in any ends. Instructions are provided at the end of the pattern for how to create your own custom colorway. With the bulky nature of the yarn, it won’t take long to prep your yarn!
