“Snowdrift” hat and scarf is a lovely winter set knit in a worsted weight yarn. The sample shown in The Plucky Knitter “Primo Worsted” is knit in “Wintry mix” colour way.

Both pieces share the same pattern design, although they differ ever so slightly. The cable panel adds interest and texture which makes knitting enjoyable.

The size of the hat is very easily adjustable (instructions in the pattern) and scarf can also be knit to desired length.
Yarn requirements are: Hat - 200 yards/100g, Scarf - 600 yards (300g).

The techniques used to make the set:
1 German twisted cast-on. There are many tutorials on You Tube to learn this stretchy and very useful cast-on!
2 Crochet cast-on
3 I-cord
Otherwise it is all just simple knitting and advanced beginners shouldn’t have problems with executing the design. And intermediate and advanced knitters should find it enjoyable as well.

“Snowdrift” set is wonderfully soft and cozy!
Wear it with your favorite winter coat or a jacket and it will keep your head warm!
