Who says that super bulky yarn must yield super boxy sweaters? This fitted little sweater jacket is knit with some of the bulkiest yarn available. The design has sprung from my love of all things vintage and especially of the mod fashion of the 1960s. The oversized collar can be worn up or down. The double moss stitch pattern gives the jacket a “tweedy”, woven look, while the large ribbed section accentuates the waist. In order to wear the collar up, all you need to do is fold it over once and attach a little button, hidden away underneath the collar, and stick that through one of the stitches (they’re big enough) on the other side of the collar so that it stays in place.

Not surprisingly, with the bulky yarn and large needles used, this sweater jacket knits up very quickly, which is great if you’re in need of a last-minute gift that’s bigger than a hat, or if just want to knit something nice for yourself that doesn’t take too long. We all deserve a little warm woolly goodness for the winter season!
