Snowdrops Lace Shawl was designed for a beginning lace knitting class. It contains several techniques that are commonly used in lace shawls: provisional cast-on, garter stitch border, and a knitted on border at the bottom. The shawl starts with a simple eyelet pattern, then moves to the slightly more complex snowdrops pattern. Full charts and full written instructions are included.

The sample was knitted with 100g of sock yarn (4 ply) on 4mm needles. The patterns/charts are modular, so you can increase the size of the shawl by just adding more repeats of either pattern.

Several people have knitted the border in garter stitch rather than stocking stitch. Just knit back instead of purling.

Errata:
Row one of the Vee Lace pattern should read:
Row 1: sl wyif, k3, SM, yo, k, (yo, ssk, k, k2tog, yo, k3), yo, ssk, k, k2tog, yo, SM, k, SM, yo, k, yo, k, (yo, ssk, k, k2tog, yo, k3), yo, ssk, k, k2tog, yo, k, yo, SM, k4.

The bold k was omitted (but the charts are fine). A corrected copy of the pattern was uploaded on 13 August 2014.
