This cable and rib beanie in three sizes (S/M/L) has plenty of texture to stand up to a colorful speckled yarn but also brings a solid or heathered yarn to life with its deep texture. Worked in the round from the brim up, the pattern may be repeated for allover interest or “rested” in the middle section by working in plain rib. Add a pom pom (optional) for a lively finishing touch. A soft yarn will offer maximum stretch and slouch, while a springy or tight twist yarn will yield sharp stitch definition and good recovery.

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, elasticity, and yardage requirement.
