Since it doesn’t take much yardage, my intention when designing hats is to use up my stash. Usually I like to use a lot of color.

This hat, although knit with only two colors – can also bust my stash, using the leftovers from larger skeins of wool. I love making things that help me eat up my stash; the stash busters. My stranded colorway hats are just that! Make fun choices and change up the colors as you like. I make multiple charts in a hat for change. This helps with stash busting, as well as fun. Just when you think you might get bored of one color or pattern, you get to change into a new chart and colorway. Have fun - that’s what knitting is ALL about.

Used Claudia’s Hand Painted Yarns (now labeled as Addiction):
MC - 1 skein of “Dream” (blue)
CC - 1 skein of “Silver” (white-like)
