Author’s note: Swiss styled classic winter jacket with matching hat and mittens or gloves sports a traditional snowflake design.

Different sizes are also made by changing needle size (which will effect the tension/gauge)
Smallest size: chest - 52cm; neck to hem - 26cm; Sleeve seam - 19cm; needle size 3.75mm; gauge for this size = 24stsx32rows over st.st.
Size 2: chest - 56cm; neck to hem - 31cm; Sleeve seam - 20cm; needle size 4mm; gauge for this size = 22stsx30rows over st.st.
Size 3: chest - 60cm; neck to hem - 36cm; Sleeve seam - 21cm; needle size 4.5mm; gauge for this size = 20stsx28rows over st.st.
Size 4: chest - 64cm; neck to hem - 36cm; Sleeve seam - 25cm; needle size 3.75mm; gauge for this size = 24stsx32rows over st.st.
Size 5: chest - 66cm; neck to hem - 41cm; Sleeve seam - 26cm; needle size 4mm; gauge for this size = 22stsx30rows over st.st.

Yarn requirements for Jacket:
Main colour 3, (4,5,6,7,8)oz 2ply Jumper Weight Shetland (e.g. Jamiesons or Jamieson and Smith’s)
Contrast colour A - 1 (1,2,2,3,3) oz of 2ply.
Contrast colour B - 1oz required for all sizes.

Mittens are suitable for babies and toddlers - one side.
Main yarn: 1oz 2ply shetland with oddments of two contrast colours.

Hat: main yarn 2oz 2ply; contrast colours 1oz first colour and 1/2 oz second colour.
