This is a digital pattern for knitting a lovely rustic, oversized & super chunky winter sweater, featuring Irish / Celtic inspired cables and a dashing, wintery North Viking look. Two variations of the front pattern offered inside!

This is a one size, super chunky, super cozy sweater for all Aran sweater lovers, designed for all those cold autumn days or winter chilly afternoons. There is almost no shaping involved and it is knitted in 4 parts assembled together. The pattern is written but also charted for those who love graphical descriptions.

I couldn’t decide on one version of the main pattern so I have knit both, one on front and one on back - the differences are subtle but you get both versions.

What you’ll need:

  • 11 x 100g skeins of worsted yarn
  • 4.5 straight knitting needles and circular ones for the neckline
  • cable needle, stitch markers, and a darning needle for sewing the parts

Happy knitting!
