This snowflake won’t melt, even here in the Florida heat! Snowy is a fast project, and would look great decorating your tree or adorning a holiday gift. Make several in various weights of yarn using different needle sizes and scatter about for a festive look.

Snowy was designed for intermediate knitters. The techniques use include knitting in the round, increases, decreases, and a variable picot bind off. Both written instructions and a chart are included.

You will need a small amount of fingering weight yarn, 4 US size 2 (2.75 mm) double pointed needles, and a small crochet hook if you’d like to make the optional loop for hanging. Also, if you’d like to include beading, you’ll need 18 size E or 6 beads and a tiny steel crochet hook.

This pattern was updated in August 2011 to include instructions for beading. Those who purchased this pattern (or received it as a gift) before August 2011 should contact me if Ravelry didn’t send an update e-mail.

While you cannot make or sell copies of this pattern, you do have permission to sell your completed ornaments.
