This very soft and warm set of pretty hat and mittens will keep you cozy when hill walking, with the iconic landmark of the Scottish Borders, whether you are hiking or just out for a stroll..!
Made in beautiful pure baby alpaca wool, and showing the Eildon Hills in a peaceful wintery setting, the hat and mittens are quick and enjoyable knitting projects, made in the round from bottom to top, and all two-colour sections are fully charted for an easy knitting experience.

Materials:
2 x 100g skeins of Daydream DK by Unwind Yarns, 100% Baby Alpaca Wool (246yds /225m) one each in “Mineral” (Colour A) and “Midnight” (Colour B)
3.50mm double pointed needles or long circular if using Magic Loop
3.75mm double pointed needles or long circular if using Magic Loop

Finished Sizes:
Approximately 20” circumference x 9” deep. Please note that the Alpaca yarn is by nature very stretchy, and the ribbed brim adds to the elasticity of the hat, which fits up to 24”.
If you wish to make a smaller circumference hat, keep to using the 3.5mm needle through the whole project.
The mittens are made to fit medium size hands, as they are very stretchy and can easily fit larger hands and measure 21 cm / 81/2 ” x 9 cm / 31/2 ” (across top of hand) after blocking. Use smaller needles if you wish to make smaller mittens.
