As winter starts to set in, and the days grow short, I am reminded of my childhood, playing outside as the street lights came on and the falling snowflakes began to glisten. Looking up into the deep blue sky above, each unique speck would fall softly to the ground, disappearing and reappearing as it entered and left the iridescent rays of light. Inspired by the many evenings I sat and watched this beautiful occurrence before being called in for dinner, the Snowy Nights Hat brings to life the memories of glistening falling snow, illuminated by street lights in each row of beautiful colour work.

As shown in the photo, one skein each of two different colours, will create this beautiful set, up to a size medium hat (you may need an extra skein of one of the two colours if you wish to do a large). Approximately 15% allowance has been made to accommodate potential inconsistencies in tension. This project set can also be a wonderful stash buster, for anyone hoping to use up some DK in their current collection! Use four different colours, or two; make it your own.

This is a collection, based on the original Snowy Nights Hat. If you wish only to purchase the hat pattern, it is also for sale in this store!

Happy knitting everyone.
