A bulky- and therefore quick - knitted cowl to keep Jack Frost from nipping at your nose this winter. This pattern came about because I love the look of cables and I wanted a heavy weight cabled cowl to go over my coat and just settle on my shoulders. BUT… cables can be tricky and I wanted something ASAP. Bulky yarn comes to the rescue and before you know it, you will have a pretty finished cabled cowl too!

SUPPLIES

  • Size 10 ½ circular needle- 24 inch - feel free to use dpns, but it will get crowded toward the end of the pattern
  • 1 cable needle or extra dpn- for the cable rows
  • 1 skein of bulky yarn at least 200 yds. I used K2 by Miss Babs in Fig- a lovely purple color
  • Beginning of round stitch marker
  • 5 stitch markers- somehow different from the BOR marker
