This is a luxurious knit, with a neatly tailored toe and no-wrap heel. The socks are embellished with a panel of lace that runs along the front of the sock. This combination of Kidsilk Haze and Fine Lace yields a really lovely soft, warm fabric with an angora feel. Personally blessed with the coldest feet this side of Lapland, I find these extremely cosy in bed, but they are even better when I am wearing them to pose on an elegant cushion by the fire.

The socks are knitted from the toe up, using two short circular needles. This is a figure of eight cast on. the Book includes a tutorial on this technique. The beauty of knitting socks this way is that you can try them on as you go.

Knitted with the yarns held together, the socks use 2 x 25g balls of Kidsilk Haze and 1x 50g of Rowan Fine Lace.
