This soft little hat is snuggley warm, small enough to fit in your pocket and has pretty feather and fan waves on the side. It starts at the top with garter stitch for warmth and textural interest and works down to the brim in feather and fan. It is knit flat and seamed, although it could be done in the round if you prefer. I happened to have straight needles handy. Using soft sock yarn on largish needles makes a quick knit and a wonderfully soft hat.
