So Basic Beanie
For me, a basic hat pattern is like a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe. When needed or wanted, I can whip either up. When necessary, I can embellish either to suit the situation. Once you have this basic pattern down, you can play with colors, play with yarn types, use it as a guide for a new project. The following pattern is written to fit a head that is about 23” around so you can size up or down as you need by adding or removing rows and stitches.
