This crescent shaped shawlette is designed to use up some of the lace yarn leftovers. There are stripes where eye-catching lace alternates with stockinette sections. The shawlette is knitted top down. The size of the shawlette can be easily adjusted.

Yarn: You will need approximately 219 yards/200 m of heavier laceweight yarn in color A and 328 yards/300 m in color B. It adds an interesting effect if you use different textured yarns, for example kidsilk mohair and merino lace.

The pattern includes two options for the shawlette:

  • In Version 1 the center panel is separated from the body with the columns of yarnovers. I’m recommending Version 1 when you are using lighter weight yarn (laceweight, 2ply).
  • In Version 2 the center panel is separated from the body with m1 increases. I’m recommending Version 2 when you are using heavier weight yarn (fingering).

If you have any questions about the pattern, feel free to send me a message or earburn me in a thread. I check Ravelry quite often and try to respond as quickly as possible.

I would like to thank the testers: Eskulanak and Yushaknit.
