Sock-A-Palooza Mystery Sock 2025
Every June, Sweet Yarns hosts a fun sock making competition. This year I’ve designed a sock pattern that participants can do as a mystery knit-a-long as part of the fun.
Pattern details:
• Four different stitch patterns that are all relatively easy
• Toe up and cuff down versions available (you’ll get both)
• Knit in fingering weight (solid, tonal or lightly speckled colourways recommended)
• Two sizes available – 7” circumference (60 sts), 9” circumference (72 sts)
• Transition area between each stitch pattern in case you want to switch your colours too
Materials needed:
• 2.75 mm needle for knitting in the round (or whatever size you prefer to use)
• Approximately 400 m of fingering weight yarn for a pair
• Stitch markers if desired
• Cable needle
• Darning needle
• Scissors
• Something for tracking your rounds if desired
The MKAL Plan:
The sock pattern is divided into 4 sections. I’ll be uploading a new PDF to the pattern page on Ravelry every Saturday evening (Time is still to be determined but probably between 7PM and 8PM EST), starting Saturday, May 31st. Each new PDF will contain the instructions for the next section of the sock pattern. You’ll want to download the new update and print it off so you can work on the new section each time. On the Thursday following the release of the section, I’ll be showing off the completed stitch patterns on our Knots & Thoughts (Facebook Live at 6:30PM).
