Sock Set Stash Buster Hygge Burst Blanket Pattern x Backyard Chickens (from 2024 & 2025) by Hue Loco Yarn

Socks sets…I have them, I cannot resist them…I’m betting you might have one or two kicking around in your stash as well. I don’t know about you, but I’ve nary a plan to knit a sock (or crochet a sock, for that matter). So, what do we do with them? Well it was my mission to make a blanket. This wasn’t the blanket I had originally planned (I’m still working on the original pattern design….needs tweaking), but in the meantime, this one was a good start!
I had a blast relaxing into this project and I think you will too! Happiest crocheting everyone :)

The pattern uses The Backyard Chickens Sock Set Collection by Hue Loco yarn and a 5mm hook. You’ll need 8 sock sets with 2 coordinating mini skeins each to complete the blanket + joining yarn. I used DK weight yarn to join.
Please note that this is a stash buster project and although the 2025 Backyard Chickens is available as I write this, it’ll be discontinued by the end of the year. There is NO BLANKET KIT for this pattern.

The gray blanket shown was the 2024 Backyard Chickens Sock Set Collection-no longer available.
The white blanket shown is the 2025 Backyard Chickens Sock Set Collection- available until the end of 2025.

The final blanket size was: Approximately 45 x 60 inches.

• full colour chart of all squares and their positioning so you can make this EXACT colour copy while the yarn is still available (until the end of 2025)!
