Socks Alpaca

A cozy pair of colorwork socks featuring a cheerful herd of alpacas marching around the leg. The alpaca motif is followed by a coordinating geometric colorwork section that reappears on the foot, creating a balanced and harmonious design from cuff to toe.

The socks are worked top down, beginning with a ribbed cuff. The leg combines stranded colorwork with a textured cable pattern that continues along the instep. Several chart options are included for selected sizes, allowing you to personalize the colorwork details while maintaining the alpaca theme.

The heel is shaped using a three-step construction: stitch increases, German short rows, and decreases. This method creates a comfortable, well-fitting heel while keeping the textured pattern uninterrupted on the front of the sock.

Pattern features:

  • Top-down construction
  • Stranded colorwork with alpaca motifs
  • Textured cable pattern on the instep
  • Custom heel
  • Multiple chart options for selected sizes
  • Instructions and charts

Whether you choose alpacas with one ear or two, these socks are sure to bring a little warmth and whimsy to your knitting.
