Designed for Hook-A-Frog’s June KAL. In keeping with the space theme, the yarn is “from Mars” and the socks are “for Venus.” Socks with a simple lace design to show off the sparkles in the yarn.

Knit cuff down starting with an optional scalloped trim, the simple lace pattern is bordered by columns of cables. There is a choice between a simple EOP or more decorative heel flap. The gusset decreases are made along the edge of the heel flap. The heel and toe will look different depending on whether a 6 inch or 7 inch leg length is knit.

The pattern has charts for the stitch patterns and written instructions for the rest.

Shown in Rain’s Obsessive Stitchery, Madeline Sock (438 yds/100 gms), Mars colorway. Medium with 6” leg and 9-1/2“ foot required 310 yds.
