Cozy, playful, and full of Halloween charm – these socks are the perfect fun addition to your autumn wardrobe!
These socks are knit cuff down, changing needle size for the leg to accommodate the less stretchy fabric of stranded knitting. This pattern is written for sock yarn and two different needle sizes. The cuff, heel, foot, and toe are made with the smaller needles, 2.25 mm, while the leg is knitted with 2.5 mm needles for the stranded colorwork. The heel is a shadow-wrap short-row heel, and the toe is grafted together with Kitchener Stitch.

Needles
The pattern is written for knitting with five double-pointed needles (DPNs). However, you can use whichever method you prefer.
• For stockinette stitch and ribbing: use 2.25 mm (US 1) needles.
• For the leg and stranded colorwork: use 2.5 mm (US 1½) needles.
Always check your gauge for proper fit. Adjusting needle sizes can help achieve additional sizes.
