I haven’t seen my first boyfriend in almost two decades but I still listen to The Eels, a band I ‘caught’ from him. This pattern is named for their Daisies of the Galaxy album, as both the socks and the album are for when you need something a little different but very easy going.

The pattern is knit in a single skein of Banshee Yarns Yak Sock. 100g will make up to approximately a size 10 UK. Adjust the leg length and/or add contrast heels and toes to make a bigger size.

The pattern is a cuff down, heel flap construction.

Stitchmarker placement: For sock knitters who are used to placing a stitch marker at the centre of the heel after the gusset pickup, please note that the stitchmarkers in this pattern are on either side of the instep. This is to help make the pattern needle agnostic. Feel free to add a stitchmarker to the centre of the heel as well

The lace in the pattern is both charted and written.
