There seems to be some confusion on the heel turn. Please note that the first two rows are merely set up rows. On your next knit row you will Slip 1, then knit to the stitch before the gap, SSK these two stitches or K2tog, whichever you have chosen to do and continue to end, turn

on Purl row, you will Slip 1 and purl to the stitch before gap and purl these two stitches together and continue to end.

Continue in this fashion until you have the number of stitches required.

This is one short row technique. Please search for videos or any additional help if you are not familiar with short rows. I hope this will clear up any questions. Thank you.

Also, please remember that this is a free pattern for everyone to learn from. Some have mentioned that there are many mistakes in the pattern. The only error is my omission of not writing out every single row for the heel turn. If it were a paid for pattern, perhaps, there would be more reason to complain. I appreciate every free pattern that is available to me, and if it doesn’t make sense or is incorrect, I either research or move onto to something else.
