Inspired by the soft sparkle of soda bubbles, Soda is an airy shawl with a delicate texture created by tiny eyelets scattered throughout the linen stitch pattern. The fabric turns out incredibly light and fluid, and even the one-skein version results in a generously sized shawl.

The shawl is worked from the center of the top edge down and features a boomerang shape, making it especially comfortable to wear.

Two edging options are included: a pointed edging for a sweet decorative finish, or a plain edging for a clean, minimalist look.

MATERIALS
- Malabrigo Sock; light fingering / 3 ply; 440 yd (402 m) per 100 g
skein; 100% merino wool

• Hook: US F-5 (3.75 mm)
• Yarn needle to weave in ends

• 1 skein in shade SW857 Light of Love
• 2 skeins in shade SW724 Flavia

GAUGE FOR SWATCH
- 22 sts (sc and chs) and 22 rows= 4″ (10 cm) worked in linen st
patt
- An exact gauge is not crucial for this design.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

1. Wingspan: 51 (68)″ / 130 (173) cm
2. Actual width of each wing: 25½ (35½)″ / 65 (90) cm
3. Depth: 15 (22½)″ / 38 (57) cm

The shawl is designed as a perfect one- and two-skein project.
However, the measurements listed above are only guidelines and you can make this shawl smaller or larger by working fewer or more rows.
