Sofie Sweater
Sofie Sweater has a classic look with a high 2×2 ribbed neck, bold cables and a relaxed fit. Body increases are worked on either side of a cable positioned on each shoulder. The back is knitted slightly longer than the front.
Sofie Sweater is worked from the top down in a cable pattern. First, stitches are cast on for the back neck, shoulders and beginnings of the fronts. Work back and forth, increasing on both sides of the shoulders so the back and fronts grow. Neck increases are worked at the same time. Once the fronts and back have reached the required width, the increases move to the sleeves and the work is joined in the round. When the sleeves have reached the required width, sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is completed. Short rows make the back slightly longer than the front. The body and sleeves end in 2×2 rib. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline and a high neck is worked in 2×2 rib.
