Inspired by the song “A Soft Place to Land” from the Broadway musical Waitress, this pattern offers an airy yet cozy shawl perfect for all seasons. Lacy double crochet eyelets combine with elongated stitches and single crochets to create a visually interesting piece that is soft and squishy in hand.

This pattern offers two size options: shawlette and shawl.

While samples were worked in light fingering and fingering weights, this pattern would be suitable for lace weights through worsted. Please note that this may affect yardage requirements and final sizing.

Samples featured in this pattern were worked with one tonal yarn, in a colorblocked sequence, and in a fade of coordinating colors. The pattern includes instructions to help guide your color changes, should you choose to incorporate multiple colors in your work.
