This is the matching cowl to the Soiree Slouch hat pattern, because some days we all need just a little extra bling without the hat hair!

The Soiree Cowl begins with a simple garter stitch edge and progresses through the body in an easy-to-bead version of the Butterfly Stitch (no pre-stringing!), the cowl is finished off with a few more rounds of garter to mirrow the beginning. What looks like purl rounds are actually rounds knit from the inside out so aside from the garter edges, you don’t do any purling. This creates a super comfortable, highly textured fabric that looks far more complicated than it actually is.

Until I get a chance to update it on my own site, please use the tutorial I did a few years back for the Beaded Butterfly Stitch on YumiYarns.blogspot.com (This was my old site and is no longer being updated, but the tutorial still holds accurate.)
