Solace Shawl
by Dawn Barker
Solace is a generously sized right triangle shawl featuring regular increases and an easy to remember crossover texture pattern that’s finished off with a linen stitch border and an i-cord bind off.
It uses one strand of BFL Fingering and one strand of Zephyr marled together to give it ultimate softness and cozy warmth.
Suggested Yarn:
2 skeins of Barker Wool BFL Fingering
2 skeins of Barker Wool Zephyr
Shown in Adored on BFL Fingering & The Grand Tour on Zephyr.
Needles: US size 9 (5.5mm) and US size 10.5 (6.5mm),
or needle sizes needed to obtain gauge, on a 24” cable.
Gauge: 9 pattern repeats x 16 rows, using the larger needles = 4” x 4” after blocking.
Finished Measurements: approximately 76” wide x 28” tall.
