Each applique in this pattern uses small amounts of yarn - a great project for using up remnants.

This pattern was created to coordinate well texture-wise with a blanket that mostly consisted of double crochets done with a size H hook.

I forgot to mention this in the pattern, but for ease of positioning, here is the order of planets and dwarf planets (starting from closest to the sun to farthest from the sun):

Inside asteroid belt:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars

In the middle/outer edge of asteroid belt:
Ceres

Outside asteroid belt:
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto
Haumea
Makemake
Eris
