Italy is known for its sunny summers and sea destinations. While it also has to offer a lot more, from beautiful countryside villages to skiing-centers in the mountains, the sea has a huge impact on Italy. The camping sites and resorts by the sea wake up every year around Easter and call for domestic and foreign tourists as well.
Sole e mare is a layering piece for the mid-seasons, or to cover yourself from too much sun or when the evening gets cooler in summer. Simple to knit, easy to wear. The top can be made using
different materials according to your need and preference, and it can be worn in two ways: with V-neck or with boat neck.
Finished measurements
To fit bust circumference of: 75 – 85, 90 – 105 (110 – 125, 130 – 145) 150 – 165 cm / 28 – 34, 36 – 42 (44 – 50, 52 – 58) 60 – 66”
Neckline opening: 32, 34 (36, 38) 40 cm / 12.5, 13.5 (14.25, 15) 15.75”
Measurements if worn as V-neck
Width side to side: 89, 95 (101, 107) 113 cm / 35, 37.5 (39.75, 42.25) 44.5”
Shoulder-hem: 41, 45.5 (50, 56.5) 61 cm / 16.25, 18 (19.75, 22.25) 24”
Measurements if worn as boat neck
Width side to side: 82, 91 (100.5, 113) 122 cm / 32.25, 36 (39.5, 44.5) 48”
Shoulder-hem: 44.5, 47.5 (50.5, 53.5) 56.5 cm / 17.5, 18.75 (20, 21) 22.25”
As the top can be worn in two ways the ease varies. The width of the neckline if worn as boat neck is the more important measurement than the width ease. The top is intended to be worn with at least 60 cm / 23.5” of positive ease at bust (garment width doubled).
Sample is worn in size 1 with 90 cm / 35.5” positive ease worn as V-neck.
