Solna Shawl
by Kate Bispala
Pattern designed for the MN Yarn Shop Hop 2026. This year’s theme is Museums and our Inspiration is Hilma af Klint. The pattern is named for the town of her birth in 1862 outside of Stockholm Sweden.
The pattern begins with a Garter tab cast on and uses simple lace patterns to give a nod to Hilma’s abstract art. The yarn was dyed by Fiber MacGyver using her art as even more inspiration.
Yarn is Fingering Weight - We used Fiber MacGyver Merino Twist
MC: 400 yds (1 full skein)
CC: 160 yds (2 mini skeins)
