This little cowl is classically beautiful with one of the many variations of Old Shale Lace, also known as Feather and Fan.

The pattern is easily memorised yet looks very intricate.

The pointy edges are naturally created by the stitch pattern.

I used Happy-Go-Knitty Kashi, but any fingering weight yarn will work.
