Inspired by warm sunny days and languid summer nights, Solstice is a lovely floaty shawl, with a wide neck that makes it easy to slip over the head on cooler evenings. It is knit in laceweight yarn for a light and airy take-anywhere accessory.

Solstice is a circular shawl, worked from a narrow rib neckline to the exaggerated points of the hem. The pattern consists of 24 eyelet panels in reverse stockinette separated by vertical lace panels; the eyelet panels increase in width every 12 rounds; the vertical lace panels do not increase in width.

The pattern recommends a firm but stretchy cast on, such as Old Norwegian or Twisted German Cast On, and a stretchy bind off, such as Icelandic or Russian.
