The Somegood Collar Sweater is knitted top-down in a half-brioche stitch. First, the back is worked in rows, starting with cast-on stitches for the neck, and the back is shaped with increases.

Next, stitches for the right and left shoulders are picked up and worked separately before they are joined to form the front. The front and back are then combined and worked in the round for the body until they are once again separated after the waist to be knitted flat.

For the sleeves, stitches are picked up around the armholes and knitted in the round.
For the plackets, stitches are picked up along the front neck slit and worked in double knitting, followed by additional stitches being picked up along the neckline to knit the collar.
