Something Prickly This Way Comes was designed for a special colourway by independent dyer Felt Fusion, for Perth Festival of Yarn.

The sock has a panel containing a thistle motif created using simple cable stitches, with a simple cable pattern either side of the panel.

It has a contrast colour toe, heel and cuff. The larger ankle size used almost 85m of contrast colour, and approximately 235m of main colour for a UK adult size 6 foot.

This pattern works best with a semi-solid yarn, in order to show off the thistle motif.

This pattern is worked in the round, using the magic loop method, although mini circulars could be used if that is your preferred method.

The pattern has been fully tech edited by www.jamesbartley.co.uk and test knit.
