Sommernacht is a lightweight yet warm shawl. It combines simple garter stitch with lace making it a soothing yet interesting project to work on. The shawl has a crescent shape and it is knitted flat from the middle of the top to the upper edge.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 skeins of Linnea Light by Kässäkerho Pom Pom (70% wool, 30% linen, 510 yds / 466 m – 100 g), colourway Minttu. Or approx. 831 yds / 760 m of light fingering weight yarn.

Needles: US 4 / 3.5 mm 40” / 100 cm circular needles and optional US 6 / 4 mm circular needles for BO.

Notions: 2 stitch markers.

GAUGE
18 sts x 44 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Garter St, after blocking.
