any DK weight yarn , for your reference I used Holst Garn Coast in Tawny Owl held in two strands (50% merino wool, 45% cotton), 1.75oz/ 191yds (50g/350mt ) – approx 191/350mt

Needles
size US #2.5 (3mm) and US #4 (3.5mm) needles or size to obtain correct gauge or DPNs

Gauge
30 sts x 36 rows = 4”(10cm) in cable patt on US #4 (3.5mm) needles;
Select a yarn that has a recommended gauge of 34-38 sts /
4”(10 cm) and drapes well after blocking.
