Sorcha is a fairisle hat and snood set in DK yarn. The body of the hat is knitted on 4mm needles but the snood is knitted on 4.5 mm needles to give a slightly softer fit.

The hat knits to a tension of 22 sts per 4” and the snood to a tension of around 20sts.

They are made with King Cole Baby Alpaca. Some of the colours used are now discontinued but other lovely colours are available. Because it is a standard yarn almost any DK could be used.

1 ball of the main colour with small amounts of the contrast colours made the hat and 2 balls of main with around half balls of the other colours made the snood.
