This pattern is for a lap blanket made with squares that are offset and sewn together.

The blanket can be made with 4-6 colours (or more if you fancy) and has a diagrammatic for placing the blocks if using 4 colour and instructions on how to place if using more colours.

The blanket is made in Hayfield Bonus Aran with wool, but any Aran weight yarn can be used as long as the tension is achieved. If the tension is not correct it will use different amounts of yarn.

The completed blanket measures 144 x 104 cm and takes approximately 270 g of Colour 1, 180 g of Colour 2, 170 g of Colour 3 and 200 g of Colour 4 to make up. This is around 570 m, 380 m, 360 m, and 420 m, respectively.
