Sorrento is a small town on the coast of southern Italy, known for its beautiful views and architecture. During my stay there, a huge storm hit, and I definitely wished I had a cozy cowl like this one to keep me warm.

This thick, cozy cowl is perfect for those chilly winter days, and for keeping warm during storms! It fits very snugly around your neck and won’t slouch down and expose your neck to the wind. The cabling provides double layers of stitches, creating extra warmth. It features a unique ‘woven’ stitch pattern created by cabling.

The Sorrento Cowl is meant for small and medium necks, but the pattern includes notes about adjusting to larger sizes.

Just one skein of Malabrigo Rasta is necessary for this pattern, but keep in mind that Rasta is an especially bulky yarn, so substituting another yarn will result in a significant change in gauge and yardage.

I hope you enjoy knitting your very own Sorrento Cowl!
