Don’t you love the sea ? The water rushing over the beach, the sunlight reflecting on the waves like a thousand shining diamonds. Or maybe the deep, dark world full of life under the water surface ? I feel the Sea has a Soul and can’t be tamed by anyone, it decided to do what it wants. This is where the inspiration for this lovely shawl full of waves came from.

Some practical information about the pattern :

The pattern is made with one Scheepjes Whirl and a crochet hook size 3,5mm.

The finished size of the shawl will be : 125 cm / 50 inches weidth
75 cm / 30 inches height

The pattern is written in US and UK terms and contains photos to guide you through the pattern. When you buy the pattern you will get a PDF file to download.

29/11/19 - NEW update - the pattern now also holds charts which you can download in a seperate file. The charts are provided and made by Elzbieta Sroczynska. But make sure you download the charts file after 01-12-19 as in the previous version Row 27 was incorrect.

The pattern is available in English, Norwegian, Dutch, German, Swedish and Spanish. The Swedish version is translated by Anette Hakansson and the Spanish version is translated by Julia Velosa. The German version is made by Christina Berberich. The Norwegian version is translated by Terese Auestad. The UK version of the pattern is made by Niamh Holcroft from Woollychickencrafts and she also tech edited the whole pattern.

The other samples shown are made by Tineke Tap with a Whirl Ombre Mediterenean Mooha and by my mother which is made by Lavenderlicious. My own version is made with a Whirl Seabreezetease.

16/03/20 - small errata detected in English version - Row 13. The pattern is saying you might have a total of 102 sts - where it has to be 104 sts. Besides that a st is missing in the chart for this Row as well.

09/10/20 - another small errata detected in all languages on Row 33. The totals tell you to have 46 stitches. This is just one side - the actual amounts of scs needs to be 82 for the entire Row.

May 2021 - Many of you requested a list of totals for the last repeat section of Row 8 - 32. I have put it up in the post about it on my website. You will find it here.
