SouloBolero
SouloBolero is a short, sleeveless shrug knitted in brioche. SouloBolero is knitted all in one. In this six-step pattern, you start by working a piece of the back, working back and forth. Then you cast on new stitches at each side of the work. These stitches are attached to the start of the work by continuing along the foundation row. Then you work in the round for a while and then back and forth to create the fronts, back and collar. When you are done, you cast off using the standard chain cast-off method.
About measurements When you measure an elastic fabric, such as one knitted in brioche, it is often difficult to measure precisely. Smooth the work on a flat surface, avoiding pulling it out of shape. Measure preferably with a ruler or folding rule.
SouloBolero has slightly eccentric shaping. It is not designed to close at the front, so it is not strictly speaking relevant to measure the shrug around the bust.
Read the pattern before you start. We recommend that you knit the pattern sample in order to practise the techniques and ensure that your yarns are suitable for this pattern.
Enjoy your knitting!
